Car Profile: ’65 Chevrolet Super Sport Pickup

Daily driver

I was purchased in 1974 by Curtis Mclachlan for $900.00. I have 316,000 miles on my body and chassis. I was retired from service and was driven daily as a fun ride. In 2000 my owner finally parked me in the garage and started to restore me as a 1965 SS pickup as if I came from GM with these options....

He installed a 468 Big Block with 475 H.P/Turbo 400/Posi rear end, CD player, roll top, Tono cover, Maplewood bed, power steering, and power brakes. Now I handle like a brand new pickup. I think this is the way I should have been made...as a Super Sport pickup in 1965 from GM. To the best of my knowledge, I am the only one made!

Like a rock!
