Car Profile: ’74 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow

Style and Luxury on Steroids!

What do you do with one of the world's most iconic automobiles that doesn't run and costs two arms and three legs to fix? You make a street rod out of it!

I found this 1974 Silver Shadow sitting in a neighbor's back yard. For over five years I saw it sitting there getting buried deeper in weeds. Finally one day I had to stop and check it out. The Rolls certainly had seen better glory days; it was basically worn out! As I investigated closer the car was all there but all would have to be completely redone. The cost of redoing any Rolls Royce is more the the National Debt. As I noticed that the wheel base was the same as a 1960's Chevelle, a thought came to me: "Let's do it right!" So I decided to create the coolest Street Rod I could, one that would really turn heads.

Hence, the "SS ROLLS" created by Curtis Custom Classics includs a ZZ 502/502 crate motor, built 700 R4 tranny with 2800 stall, a full set of one off 18" Rolls Royce wheels, all new wiring harness, "FAST" fuel injection system, all new interior with plush Italian leather and JL Audio & TV Systems.

The stock suspension system was kept for that world famous Rolls Royce ride. The color combination was created for providing the feeling of driving your own personal tuxedo everywhere you go with class, style and luxury on steroids!
