Car Profile: ’72 Pontiac Ventura

Muscle Car Survivor

I am a ’72 Pontiac Ventura, originally sold to an elderly woman who drove me until 2000. I have only 83,000 miles on my chassis. I know that there were thousands of my brothers made, but I am one of the few survivors of this model. I am a hatchback, and yet not the most popular version of the Pontiac “Muscle Cars”. In 1974, I became the end of the “Muscle car” era for the GTO/Ventura model.

Since then, my engine has been rebuilt as a stock 350/2 barrel with a high performance 350 transmission, rally wheels, new interior, a second paint job. Finding my body parts to complete the restoration was a difficult challenge. Novas...BACK OFF!!!!!
